The Application Engineer III, Sr. Peoplesoft Developer - Campus Solutions, reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and installing to support the university's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and business applications systems. Assists with the development and maintenance of ERP and business application systems. Ensures that software and services can be integrated into the ERP system. Designs new modules to improve system efficiency. Works on complex business application projects, develops efficient and effective processes, and ensures client requirements are met.
Provides technical support for ERP Systems (PeopleSoft), including testing, design, analysis, software upgrades, and problem resolution. Ensures the reliable performance of learning management systems. Troubleshoots and resolves any ERP-related hardware, software, user access, or other problems. Coordinates new software releases, fixes, and upgrades with technical teams and users. Recommends new features or changes to configuration/workflows based on user feedback. Assists in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of learning management systems and related instructional technology.
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position, which represents the full range of anticipated compensation, is: $112,000 to $117,000 annually.
Design, develop, integrate, and maintain custom applications and system interfaces, particularly in support of ERP systems.
Use SDLC methodologies to guide development and ensure quality through testing and documentation.
Troubleshoot issues and apply patches or fixes in coordination with technical and database teams.
Administer production and non-production application environments.
Perform system upgrades, patching, monitoring, and security administration tasks.
Maintain documentation, define performance metrics, and conduct audits to ensure system integrity and compliance.
Collaborate with users and departments to analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Evaluate and recommend application enhancements or new tools to improve service management.
Gather system requirements and communicate development progress to stakeholders.
Lead assigned projects, guide team members, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and managed service providers.
Participate in audits and support the implementation of recommended controls.
Support the application engineering team under supervisor guidance.
Promote documentation best practices and mentor others.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
A: Formal Education
A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred.
Master’s Degree preferred. (Two years’ experience could be substituted in lieu of a Master’s degree.
Seven to ten (7-10) years’ experience as an Application Developer or Systems Developer accepted in lieu of degree.
