Program Director of the Cultivating Virtue Project

Overview

The Program Director will help launch and manage all major aspects of this project. We are looking for an experienced professional who understands the University’s mission and character and who has an appreciation for the Aristotelian-Thomistic virtue tradition that undergirds this initiative.

 

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $60,000.

Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the principles and ideals motivating the project and of the concrete initiatives taken by faculty to realize these ideals.
  • Develop and execute an overarching communication plan and process maps.
  • Coordinate and facilitate partnering-faculty small groups.
  • Support faculty-led development of electronic catalog.
  • Create and track timelines, budgets, and project data documentation.
  • Determine action items to meet intermittent goals, delegate responsibilities, and oversee supporting staff.
  • Collaborate strategically with broader campus community to fine-tune the methods and supporting materials, especially Campus Ministry, Honors, Cornerstone, and the General Education Curriculum Committee.
  • Collaborate with external organizations supporting the project.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, faculty, and staff involved in the project to provide updates, direction, and support, and to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Think creatively about ways to engage participants and motivate the project at all levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in project management or relevant leadership role.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
