The Director of Advancement Services Communications will lead a team of content creators to plan, create, publish, disseminate, and manage Advancement Communications content for the schools and offices served by the Division of University Advancement, with the goal to drive engagement and support for the University. The Director of Advancement Services Communications works under the Executive Director of Advancement Communications, and in coordination with team members and stakeholders across campus, to leverage content that is relevant to key audiences and aligned with the objectives of University Advancement.
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $80,000-$100,000.
Complete proficiency in the Google Suite of products: Google Mail, Google Docs, also with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge (alumni and donor database software) or similar systems preferred but not necessary.
Excellent proofreading and editing skills; strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Ability to prioritize work and follow general office procedures.
Ability to work independently, under deadlines, without close supervision.
Exercise self-direction in the initiation, coordination and completion of tasks; with acute attention to detail.
Excellent relationship-building skills; ability to work effectively with internal and external constituencies, including individuals of significant influence and affluence.
Possession of current and valid U.S. driver’s license appropriate to the type of university vehicle and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) as stipulated in the Vehicle Guidelines and Procedures Manual administered through the office of Environmental Health and Safety.
Annual clearance of MVR check through the Office of Environmental Health and Safety.
