Assistant Director, Degree Audit

Overview

The Office of Enrollment Services serves students, alumni, staff, faculty, and the general public in the areas of student records, registration, and student financial services. Serves as technical and functional manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining university’s degree audit system and providing training to end users in academic units. Oversees updates to annual university Announcements publication. Assists with team leadership in Enrollment Services’ (university registrar and student accounts) Student Service center.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as principal lead on development, implementation, and maintenance of university’s degree audit system.
  • Provides ongoing training and support to academic units related to use of degree audit system.
  • Understands and interprets university policies and curriculum requirements and makes recommendations to academic units with regard to how best integrate with degree audit system.
  • Coordinates updates to annual university Announcements publication (i.e., catalog), ensuring that degree requirements are in sync with degree audit system.
  • Maintains compliance with FERPA, federal, and District of Columbia regulations and university policies.
  • Provides support to Assistant Director, Curriculum Management, related to maintenance of course catalog, enrollment requirements, and class scheduling.
  • Assists with team leadership in a combined registrar and student accounts service center and provides service related to registration and student accounts to constituents.
  • Assists with production of annual commencement program.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree and three to four years working with integrated administrative processing systems, preferably PeopleSoft or other student information systems, or a master's degree in a relevant field and one to two years working with integrated administrative processing systems. One to two years team leadership and/or degree audit or collegiate advising experience preferred.
