International and Special Academic Program Manager

Overview

The International and Special Academic Program Manager will play an important role working with key law school stakeholders to support and grow Catholic Law’s existing international LL.M. program, bringing it to new markets and helping to develop additional special programs, including distance learning through greater online access to courses.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with faculty directors, responsible for supporting the logistical administration of the Law School’s existing American Law Program and its International Business and Trade Summer Law Program, both in Kraków, Poland, and its International Human Rights Summer Law Program in Rome, Italy.  This includes assisting students, prospective students, instructors, and partners.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Dean of the Law School, Academic Affairs, and related faculty, to develop and expand Catholic Law’s international LL.M. opportunities to new markets. 

  • Identify and help establish new academic and professional development opportunities for international LL.M. students and interested J.D. students, such as seminars, conferences, and competitions.

  • Execute and monitor implementation of strategy for distance learning for international LL.M. students. The strategy should include a variety of instructional models to deliver course content to students.

  • Assist and work in collaboration with other key departments such as Academic Affairs, Registrar, Institutes and Special Programs, and Admissions and Financial Aid, to recruit and support domestic and international students and instructors who participate in the law school’s international LL.M. programs.

  • Collaborate with Catholic Law’s Advancement and Alumni staffs on maintaining records to integrate international students and alumni into the law school’s alumni network and maintain connections with student and alumni to encourage their  support of international programs.          

  • Research international LL.M. recruitment trends to be utilized for the creation of a strategic enrollment management plan.

  • In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications department, coordinate the development of marketing materials and websites designed for international LL.M. prospects.   

  • Assist with the logistical planning and support of the eight-week summer program offered to international students on Catholic Law’s Washington, D.C. campus.

  • Assist with internship placement for J.D. students studying abroad in Krakow and Rome.

  • Develop and manage the annual budget for international programs and other special programs. 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required with three (3) to five (5) years experience of relevant experience. 

Preferred Education and Experience
●      J.D., LL.M, master's degree or equivalent

●      4-6 years of relevant experience

●      Previous international program development experience

●      Flexibility and proactive approach to problem-solving.

●      Familiarity with managing information and records in digital tools, e.g., spreadsheets, online forms.

●      Ability to work independently as well as member of a team.
